An opportunity has arisen in the Network Liaison Team for a new team member to undertake the role of Road Space Coordinator. This is a key role, and one which is growing steadily thanks to the new Traffic Management Act, the ever-increasing requirements of the National Traffic Control Centre and the forthcoming Regional Control Centre and the Highways Agency Traffic Officers.
Dealing with road space booking requests, you will liase internally with Operations, Design, Structures, Managed and Provider Work streams, and also external organisations. To undertake road space coordination you will need to be able to use telephones, maps and HA IT systems such as the Schedule of Road Works.
In addition assist with other areas of the Team’s work including the ERC (Emergency Response Control) Desk, requests for temporary and event signing or general route management issues including customer service.
